Head of the personal injury department, with a key focus on the day-to-day management of the department, business development, quality control, recruitment and financial management. Richard is the Firm’s training principal and heads the recruitment and progression of the firm’s trainee solicitors. Has a strong knowledge of the entire spectrum of personal injury claims, with a particular interest in high-value road traffic accidents and motorcycle accidents. Among his notable settlements are: a £700,000 settlement for a client involved in a motorcycle accident who suffered multiple fractures, leading to a lower limb amputation; a £550,000 settlement for a motorcyclist as the result of a brachial plexus injury causing a permanent loss of function to the client’s dominant arm; and a strong high-figure settlement for a motorcyclist who had suffered a severe dislocation to the right elbow in a motorcycle accident, resulting in a significant disability.
