Partner and head of the Restructuring and Compliance department in the Barcelona office.

Career

Álvaro has more than 20 years of professional experience, having begun his career at Arthur Andersen y Garrigues and then set up his own firm Global Abogados.

He has wide experience in insolvency law, restructuring, compliance, litigation in matters of civil law, commercial law (corporate resolutions, liability of directors), banking law and criminal law (tax and social security offences, offences against property, corporate offences etc.).

He has acted in more than 100 insolvency and restructuring procedures and in a great many civil and criminal cases in his specialist areas. These cases took place in different locations and at various levels, representing local and multinational companies as well as private individuals.

He has great experience in the implementation of regulatory compliance programs in Spanish and international companies.
