Demetris Roti has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and banking and finance. He has acted in numerous substantial transactions on behalf of international law firms and institutional financiers, credit agencies and international commercial and development banks including China Development Bank, Citi, Deutsche Bank, EBRD and HSBC.
Demetri’s further experience is as follows:
- Financing of the largest natural gas field in Azerbaijan
- Financing of a large Polish telecoms provider to reserve frequencies for the provision of telecommunication services including 4G
- Senior revolving credit facility to an international energy trader for an oil storage depot, the biggest foreign investment at the time in Cyprus
- Matisse financing of the first international bond issue secured by Romanian commercial real estate
- USD 350 million debut Eurobond issue of a Russian property company traded on the main market of the Irish Stock Exchange, the first Eurobond issue by a Cyprus company active in the Russian real estate market
- Bond offering of a UK-listed satellite communications provider
- Hostile mandatory public takeover offer for a company listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange
