Position

Anastasios A. Antoniou is a partner at Antoniou McCollum & Co., advising the firm's clients on commercial, competition and regulatory matters.

Career

Anastasios heads the EU and Competition Law practice of Antoniou McCollum & Co. and advises clients on competition, merger control, State aid, regulatory and emerging technology matters.  He has been consistently ranked by The Legal 500 as leading individual in EU law and Competition law.

The clients Anastasios advises are active in a range of sectors including technology, banking, retail, private equity and investment management.

Immediately prior to co-founding Antoniou McCollum & Co. Anastasios was country law leader of a 'Big4' global firm and his law firm was a member firm of that organisation.  He first established his practice in 2009, having previously worked as an associate at a top tier law firm.

He is the Cypriot member of the European Competition Lawyers Forum.  He was appointed by the European Commission as a member of the EU Blockchain Observatory & Forum in relation to regulatory matters.  He has authored a number of articles and book chapters on competition and international law.

Anastasios also represents clients in high-profile commercial and investment litigation and arbitration disputes.
