Career

With more than twenty years of practice, Carine has developed significant expertise in mergers and acquisitions, growth capital (minority and majority investment), leveraged transactions (LBO, MBO, MBI or OBO) and mezzanine financing, areas in which she works alongside investment funds as well as industrial groups, mid-cap companies and SMEs.

Carine has also acquired particular expertise in the agribusiness, energy and health sectors.

Highly involved with her clients, Carine ensures that she maintains a global vision of the files, in particular concerning their operational, strategic and financial stakes, which enables her to propose pragmatic legal solutions adapted to the multiple issues of the operations entrusted to her. She is particularly keen to establish strong bonds of trust with her clients.

Carine is a graduate of the Economics and finance section of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Rennes) and holds postgraduate diplomas in Business Law and in Legal Proceedings from the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas. She began her career in 2001 at Herbert Smith Freehills LLP. She then joined CVML in 2005, where she became Counsel in 2011. She then worked for five years at CRB Avocat, a law firm she created in 2015, before co-founding KARMAN ASSOCIES.

Carine is listed in the ranking of the best law firms in growth capital and LBO with a majority of transactions involving companies under 50 million euros.
