PATH LLP – partner of the Grand Theatre and Polish National Opera and also a legal partner of the Opera Academy, which promotes young singers
Since May 2017, PATH has acted as a legal guardian of the Opera Academy, which is a programme for young talents. The Grand Theatre and Polish National Opera have been implementing a programme to support the career of young and talented opera artists for years. Piotr Augustyniak and Tomasz Hatylak, partners at PATH, believe that culture and art greatly contribute to the building of a conscious society. They think of business activity as being something more than just law and taxes.
Culture is a perfect area for such a symbiosis of art and law to take place, and the cooperation with the National Opera is potentially a perfect coincidence. The aim of the Opera Academy is to build a bridge between education and professional life for outstanding talented singers. Young singers, who are just at the beginning of their professional career, should make sure that their interests are safeguarded as early as possible. Hence, PATH’s idea is to provide young singers from the Opera Academy with an offer of legal support. We would like students of the Academy to treat legal awareness and protection of their interests in business terms. Our task is to teach them what they should pay attention to and how to secure their success in terms of law. The voice of a singer – something that seems so ephemeral – also represents a value in the legal market. And a key to success is the right decision.
PATH LLP – partner of the Młyn Junior Jazz Festival
As pro bono work is a crucial part of PATH activity, our firm has also funded a scholarship for Marta Wajdzik, a young saxophone player. Marta was awarded The Młyn Junior Jazz Festival Grand Prix in 2019. Thanks to the scholarship, Marta will be able to complete the summer term at the NYU jazz department in July 2020. Marta Wajdzik is also a recipient of PATH legal assistance programme for young talents.
