Career

Stefaan Wauman obtained his law degree from the KU Leuven in 2003 and is a member of the Bar of the Province of Antwerp. He obtained a postgraduate degree in corporate law (2006) at the Catholic University of Brussels and a postgraduate degree in business law (2007) at the University of Antwerp. He joined our firm as Counsel in 2019, after working for Laurius (Antwerp) for 12 years.

He has extensive experience in negotiating and assisting in acquisitions and mergers. Stefaan works in the Business Law practice group and, together with Gwen Bevers and Christine Heeb, heads the Corporate and M&A department.

Schoups‘ corporate and M&A practice is divided across the firm’s Antwerp and Brussels offices, and attracts praise for its ‘good value for money and great knowledge of the Belgian market’.
