As of 1 January 2018 Timme has been appointed partner at Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh. Timme started at Unilever and has been a lawyer since 2010. Timme specializes in intellectual property law, in particular European trade mark and design law, copyright and trade name law. Timme regularly reviews and lectures on topics relating to intellectual property law.

In addition, Timme has vast experience in drafting, negotiating and litigating various types of commercial contracts, e.g. general terms and conditions, distribution and license agreements and (international) sales contracts.


Timme is a member of the Dispute resolution team of Marques and acts per December 2018 as a member of the management board of the association of Dutch attorneys specialized in IP matters (VIEPA).

From its Rotterdam base, Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh  has a focus on IP law and its intersection with wider EU law. Acknowledged as ‘a very specialised IP boutique‘, what sets it apart is its ability (especially regarding trade marks and patent law) to navigate regulatory and EU laws in relation to, for example, the labelling or pricing of pharmaceutical products  and the import or export of products in the EU. Its cases often reach the Benelux Court of Justice and one is pending before the Supreme Court of the Netherlands. Its work also covers trade mark, design and copyright  infringement matters in various areas of consumer goods with cases frequently going before the EUIPO. Timme Geerlof  and Gerard van der Wal  are the highly rated practice heads.
