Career

As Partner with Almain, Maria-Carla has developed a strong practice in all fields of restructuring and insolvency laws.

She advises and represents distressed companies as well as investment funds, managers, shareholders, takeover entrepreneurs, and creditors of companies which are suffering from financial difficulties. She assists them in the context of amicable proceedings (ad hoc mandate, conciliation) or along judicial proceedings aimed at resolving financial difficulties (safeguard proceedings, reorganization proceedings etc.). Her expertise covers all aspects of restructurings, including insolvency-related litigation.

Before joining Almain, Maria-Carla practiced since 2007 at Gide Loyrette Nouel.

Maria-Carla was seconded for over 8 months to an institutional investor between 2015 and 2016 in an advisory role, in particular regarding bankruptcy related matters, experience which allowed her to enhance her understanding of clients’ needs.
