Position

Patrizia Netal is a partner at KNOETZL. Patrizia has extensive experience as counsel and arbitrator in institutional and ad-hoc arbitration proceedings (including the Rules of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Rules of Arbitration of the VIAC (Vienna Rules), the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS), the Swiss Rules of International Arbitration and UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules). Her practice has a particular focus on large-scale construction projects and engineering across the CEE region, M&A projects, aviation, energy, and international sales disputes. Since 2022 Patrizia is vice-president of the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC). She lectures at the Austrian Arbitration Academy and is a faculty member of the Delos Remote Oral Advocacy Programme (“ROAP”).

Career

Before founding the firm in 2016, Patrizia Netal was a partner at a Viennese arbitration boutique and the head of the arbitration practice of a Viennese law firm. Patrizia is a Director of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. In 2021, she was elected to the Board of the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC) and serves as its vice-president since 2022.
