Kieran Kelly is a partner and Head of the firm’s Media & Entertainment practice.
In 2000, having been litigation partner of a large Dublin firm, Kieran set up a niche practice specialising in business litigation with an emphasis on media law, the first specialised media law practice in Ireland. After 19 years in business, the practice merged with Flynn O’Driscoll and continues to be the leading media law office in Ireland.
Kieran advises on both pre and post-publication and broadcast, privacy, confidentiality, internet, regulatory, and intellectual property issues. Kieran represents and advises the largest media organisations on the island of Ireland, and is instructed by national and regional newspapers, magazine publishers, online news providers, all the major book publishing houses, and video producers. Kieran has been involved in commercial litigation in all the Superior Courts.
He brings specialist knowledge to the full spectrum of media and entertainment law matters, spanning defamation, privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property and media commercial matters.
Kieran draws on over 30 years’ experience in media law and has handled a majority of major media related cases in Ireland.
