The firm: Woźniak Legal is a dynamic, rapidly expanding Polish law firm with international capabilities, focused on providing a complete legal service to entrepreneurial businesses and individuals. With over 20 lawyers in our Warsaw office, we are well suited to provide a full range of services to fast-growth businesses at all stages of their life cycle. While we are based in Warsaw, we’re connected and we operate internationally.
The firm was established in 2007 by Grzegorz Woźniak, who acquired his professional experience with Allen & Overy Warsaw, where he worked for 15 years and was involved in many transactions and litigation cases.
We offer our clients seamless legal advice in all aspects of their commercial transactions, including joint ventures, takeovers, sale of shares, real estate issues, corporate reorganisations and competition and antitrust issues. We also offer our clients legal advice in private client area ranging from wealth planning and inheritance to divorce and family as well as restitution of property.
To support our clients’ international strategies, we have developed strong relationships with the legal communities in many of the world’s major jurisdictions. London remains our main point of reference, in terms of the quality of our services, our values and approach. The firm is a member of The Law Society of England and Wales (International Division) in London which provides us with invaluable insight and contacts with international legal practitioners.
Areas of practice
Brexit hub: We provide advice on the likely implications for businesses operating in and trading between the United Kingdom and Poland, including commercial terms, dispute resolution, compliance issues, employment issues and practical advice on steps to protect and strengthen the business.
Corporate and M&A: We advise on a wide range of matters, including:

Competition/antitrust: We offer our clients seamless legal advice in all aspects of their transactions, including competition and antitrust issues. Our knowledge encompasses merger control, antitrust litigation and business planning. We have significant experience in the construction, electronics, pharmaceuticals and financial sectors. We successfully represent our clients before the relevant regulatory agencies and the courts.

Our clients include a mix of high-net-worth individuals and their families, estates, trusts and charities, based in Poland and abroad.
Immigration: Our extensive range of immigration and nationality services are designed to assist corporate and private clients, as well as education providers, in making successful applications and ensuring ongoing compliance with the immigration law.
We use our years of experience and contacts within the Polish immigration authorities to resolve complex matters in an efficient and straightforward manner, particularly those involving unusual or urgent situations, immigration non-compliance and previous refusals.
Dispute resolution: We offer our clients legal advice on issues ranging from commercial litigation, real estate and construction to white collar crimes and defamation. We have also significant expertise in international arbitration and domestic arbitration.
We act for businesses that range from owner-manager operations to multinational entities with disputes which cross several jurisdictions. We have litigators embedded in every practice area from corporate, M&A, competition law, employment and real estate.
Personal data protection: The task of managing data is becoming increasingly complex for individuals and companies alike. The Personal Data Protection came into effect across the European Union on 25 May 2018, changing the way companies around the world collect and handle personal data.
We advise our clients on how best to achieve their strategic objectives whilst complying with this evolving regulatory regime. We can highlight gaps in compliance and explain how to implement the policies and procedures needed, as well as dealing with any incidents that may occur while processing personal data.
Employment and global mobility: We provide practical advice to our clients in all areas of employment law and propose effective responses to the raft of new legislation, case law and regulatory changes. We work hard to ensure that we understand our clients’ businesses and work with them to achieve full compliance. We also advise on all aspects of the global mobility of employees, including tax and social security issues.
Real estate: Our expertise ranges from commercial transactions to complex real estate finance and closed-end fund transactions. We regularly work on high level, complex deals – often with an international element – including mergers and acquisitions, leases, developments, construction and management agreements.
Tax: Nearly every transaction or operation we handle has tax consequences which need to be considered. Our experienced tax lawyers can be trusted to deliver bespoke and pragmatic advice across the whole range of our sectors to satisfy our clients’ requirements, and to ensure efficiency in transactions by identifying the risks.
