Polly helps families, professionals, and charities, navigate and resolve claims over a deceased’s estate or trust. 

Polly has acted in a broad spectrum of estates – from high value international estates with complex trust arrangements, to modest estates where an early resolution was essential to make sure that a family didn't have to sell their home.

 She guides clients through the challenges these types of claims present, and will always explore whether an early settlement is possible. Polly's experience has taught her that a solution a client has chosen can be invaluable, and in my many years practising has found that just as no family is the same, no case will be. Every case will need its own solution, unique to its facts and the personalities at play.

Position

Polly is a Associate Solicitor based in Irwin Mitchell Leeds office. 

Polly regularly handles 1975 claims, Will validity challenges, proprietary estoppel and trust claims, and she has seen an increase in claims with a financial abuse aspect. Polly has experience of investigating and unwinding financial abuse and acting where an appointment of an Attorney or Deputy becomes contentious.

Career

At school, Polly always struggled to find a subject that truly took her interest but was fascinated by people – and was always looking for a cause to champion  When she took Law at A Level, she knew she had found her home.
