Position

I am a Senior Associate Solicitor in Irwin Mitchell’s Medical Negligence team dealing with all areas of medical negligence. I have a wide range of cases dealing with injuries to both adults and children. I specialise in maximum severity cases and have a particular interest in obstetric and neonatal injuries including maternal injuries during childbirth.

Career

I joined Irwin Mitchell in May 2015.

To accompany my casework, I am passionate about driving change in obstetric care and have worked and continue to work with clinicians in the East of England to organise collaborative study days with the aim of increasing patient safety and awareness amongst clinicians of the impact errors in care can have. I have also provided several training sessions for maternity and neonatal units at various hospitals across the East of England region in an effort to improve patient safety in a collaborative way with key care providers. Since the pandemic and the restrictions

put in place, I have worked with colleagues in Irwin Mitchell’s national team to put together a ‘Maternity Matters’ webinar series on a number of key topics in obstetric care focused at medical professionals and in the spirit of collaborative learning. I am starting to organise more face-to-face events with medical professionals to accompany and complement the webinar series.
