Entrepreneur and executive counselling – emerging and growth companies practice: emerging and growth companies practice: Cresco represents entrepreneurs, start-ups, emerging and growth companies on their plans and fundraising and organising their day-to-day business. Recent experience: Investor consortium in its €60m seed investment in miDiagnostics, NGData, a big data analytics company, in its $10m Series B funding round led by IDInvest.

Complex commercial agreements and partnering: Cresco advises on a large variety of agreements ranging from typical ‘run-of-the-mill’ agreements to highly complex commercial and partnering agreements. Recent experience: Autogrill with respect to commercial agreements on motorways, railway stations and airports, Steigenberger in a variety of day-to-day matters and Primetals Technologies in commercial contracting for iron and steel industries.

Intellectual property rights and innovation counselling: Cresco structures brand protection, corporate partnering and strategic alliance transactions, R&D deals and co-ownership agreements, group IP structuring and licensing agreements and outsourcing arrangements. Recent experience: investor consortium in the negotiation for sophisticated arrangements for IPR assignment and licensing, and milestone-based R&D development by imec and John Hopkins University in relation to miDiagnostics, Clear2Pay, Guard Square, Sentiance, Kraken, Twikit, Collibra and others in the development of their IP strategies and the negotiation of complex licences, Flemish government in IT agreement for private cloud and managed services.

Dispute resolution: Cresco has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate and commercial litigation and arbitration, regarding sale and purchase agreements, service agreements, technology contracts, joint venture arrangements, shareholders’ disputes, and cross-border debt recovery. Recent experience: an international logistics service provider in a tort claim of a purchaser that aborted negotiations, manufacturers and distributors on commercial disputes and shareholders and directors on all matters of corporate litigation and post-acquisition claims.

Real estate: Cresco offers a full range of legal services covering the key areas of real estate law, including property transactions and finance, construction and lease law.
