Career
Yunus joined the firm – then a solo practice, started in 1969 by his Uncle Yılmaz Egemenoğlu – upon graduating from law school in 1982. Yunus has been practicing law for over 35 years and represents local and international companies with regard to a wide variety of legal matters, focusing now on the firm’s most challenging work.
In addition to being the firm’s Managing Partner, Yunus co-heads our Commercial, Corporate and M&A, Restructuring and Insolvency, and Media and Entertainment practices. Yunus is also quite popular on the local speaking circuit, where he addresses important developments in the Turkish legal sector, and the challenges it faces.

Yunus, besides being a member of the Istanbul Bar Association, is a member of the British Chamber Of Commerce of Turkey, Chambre De Commerce Francaise En Turquie, European Patent Institute, Turkish Patent Institute, Brand-Patent Agency, Human Rights Foundation and Contemporary Lawyers Association. In the past, he had been a member of the Turkish Football Federation’s Board of Directors, Confederation of Turkish Amateur Sports Clubs’ Audit Board and Union of Clubs Sportive Marketing Co.
