Mr Fabian Horsting
Fabian Horsting specializes in real estate law, with a particular focus on construction law and procurement law, European and otherwise. Fabian advises and conducts legal proceedings on behalf of clients in both the public and the private sector as well as advisers and performing parties in the construction process in matters involving building contracts and building disputes, property development, public-private partnerships, property-law design and public and private procurement. Among his clients are practically all the parties involved in real estate, including authorities, contractors, architects, investors, property developers, managers, estate agents and other property advisers. Fabian is a no-nonsense lawyer, who together with his clients attempts to find a solution without getting involved in endless legal hair-splitting.
Between 2004 and 2013 Fabian was employed as a lawyer at the real estate practice groups of the law firms of Lexence and DLA Piper. In 2013 he joined Six Advocaten.
Fabian is a member of the Vereniging voor Bouwrecht-advocaten (Construction Lawyers Association), the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Aanbestedingsrecht (Dutch Association for Procurement Law) and the Vereniging Vastgoed Juristen (Property Lawyers Association).
Fabian studied Dutch Law (Constitutional and Administrative Law as well as International Public Law) at the University of Groningen. He also completed both the Dutch and European Procurement Law post-doctoral specialist programme at the Grotius Academie (cum laude) and the Private Construction Law specialist programme at the Instituut voor Bouwrecht (Netherlands Institute for Construction Law).
Boutique Six Advocaten is well regarded for planning and environmental issues, litigation and transactions. The firm is seeing an uptick in instructions from the healthcare and infrastructure sectors and has a niche expertise in the development, sale and acquisition and lease of student housing and hotels. Fabian Horsting heads the practice. Leon Burgersdijk counts project developers, construction companies, housing corporations and municipalities among his client base.
