BDGS Associés is a strong reference for complex disputes. The firm is popular with leading French corporations, including state-owned companies, for high-stakes corporate disputes, often pertaining to publicly listed M&A deals and shareholder conflicts. The team notably acted for Engie in the landmark recent Suez-Veolia M&A battle. In addition to intervening in high-stakes commercial disputes, the practice must also be acknowledged for its expertise in resisting French discovery procedures and is also highly qualified to handle highly strategic regulatory disputes, notably in the banking sector. For instance, the team recently acted in a high-profile price manipulation securities case before the stock-market regulator (AMF)’s sanction committee. Practice head Kyum Lee and Antoine Gosset-Grainville, who regularly acts for banks in strategic regulatory cases, are the key contacts.
