Partner specialising in public and private mergers and acquisitions transactions, as well as in securities law, advising leading industrial groups and institutional investors on complex cross-border transactions, and major investment funds on a large number of transactions, including LBOs, takeover offers, and PtoPs.
Recent work includes advising ENGIE on the sale of Equans to Bouygues; advising Thales on the sale of its ground transportation systems business to Hitachi Rail; advising KKR on its participation in the €100 million Series C financing of Ornikar via the subscription to a capital increase and the acquisition of shares from existing shareholders; advising OpenGate Capital on the sale by B&M Holdings SARL and various managers of their shareholdings in Bois & Matériaux, Bois & Matériaux Distribution and Panofrance to Chausson Matériaux; and advising OpenGate Capital on the sale by its portfolio investment company SMAC of its entire stake in Axter to IKO.
Career
Before joining BDGS Associés in 2014 as partner, Thomas Méli was counsel at Linklaters where he started his career in 2004. He was seconded to Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations for a 7-month period in 2009.
