Position

Kelly is a Director, Solicitor and Chartered Trade Mark Attorney at McDaniels Law, with experience across a range of IP matters, particularly in Trade Mark, Copyright and Design matters. This work includes both dealing with protection strategies and also enforcement and litigation matters having conducted cases on clients’ behalf in the Court of Appeal, High Court and the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court. Kelly has significant experience in Trade Mark matters including filing and prosecution of UK, CTM, foreign and Madrid trade mark applications, trade mark opposition and cancellation proceedings. Since qualification, Kelly has undertaken further professional qualifications at the Queen Mary University of London and Nottingham Trent University and in July 2015 dual qualified as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, further expanding her IP expertise. Previously, Kelly worked on secondment one day per week with a major UK fashion brand over a three year period and therefore has a significant understanding of brand management and development issues.

Career

Kelly joined McDaniels Law in 2008 as a Trainee Solicitor and remained with the firm following qualification. She is now a Director specialising in Intellectual Property.
