Louise Krarup Simonsen has more than 15 years’ experience working as an attorney during which she has represented Danish and foreign clients in relation to financially challenged businesses. She specializes in restructuring, insolvency and financial regulation. She also advises on general corporate and commercial law.

Louise advises ailing companies and on the consequences of contracting parties’ potential or current financial difficulties and as a result she has vast experience in all types of insolvency proceedings – from the special conditions that apply to personal bankruptcies to the largest and most complex estates in bankruptcy in Denmark. Louise acts as a trustee of estates in bankruptcy as well as a restructuring officer in relation to in-court restructuring proceedings.

Louise is widely experienced in insolvency procedures and she also assists in negotiating and structuring voluntary arrangements in order to achieve the best solution for creditors and debtors.

Louise is also experienced in financial regulation and the special conditions in relation to fintech businesses.

Skau Reipurth & Partnere frequently represents creditors, particularly financial institutions, in insolvency proceedings, distressed M&A, and pre-insolvency restructurings. The team, which assumes the role of a permanent trustee for many clients, includes the ‘razor-sharpAnders Ørskov Melballe, who has particular expertise in the restructuring of non-performing loans and creditor rights matters. Expanding partly due to the Covid-19 crisis, the firm added Thomas Heering to its ranks from Gorrissen Federspiel and former bankruptcy court assistant judge Louise Krarup Simonsen, who are ‘both very experienced attorneys and well established within the industry’.
