Partner and Head of Private Client & Family. Liz advises a variety of clients about the establishment and structuring of trusts for the effective devolution of family wealth and tax mitigation. She has particular expertise acting for non-UK resident/domiciled individuals and specialises in the creation of off shore trusts and complex asset structuring for high net worth individuals. Liz deals with all forms of inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning, and also advises on wills and estate planning particularly for clients with interests and connections with the USA. Liz is dual qualified being a solicitor and chartered tax adviser.

    In recent years, the country ́s the government has been committed to improving Taxation in Nicaragua and attempting to follow the legislative model used by some of the other countries in the region. Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
