Ms Utku Cosar
As a partner specialising in dispute resolution, Ms. Cosar has extensive experience in high profile arbitrations representing public and private clients before ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SCAI and ICDR-AAA tribunals. Her recent experience includes representing a pension fund in an ICC arbitration involving a post-acquisition dispute and related damages claims. She represented the state in three ICSID arbitrations brought under the Energy Charter Treaty. In addition, she has recently acted as counsel in various ICC arbitrations, including a construction dispute for delay and damages claims, and two energy projects involving lost profit claims. Ms. Cosar is also an expert litigator, skilled at representing foreign and Turkish clients before Turkish courts. Her recent litigation experience includes representation of a major international company in the energy sector regarding its power plant investment and representation of a leading bank involving damages claims arising out of fraudulent transactions.
Ms. Cosar is admitted in New York and Turkey. She serves on the editorial board of ICC Dispute Resolution Journal, Dispute Resolution International, the journal of the Dispute Resolution Section of the IBA and the ICCA Publications Advisory Board.
