Operations Division: The transactional and litigation activities of the Operations Division cover industrial and commercial activities and more generally clients’ operations (sourcing, sales, promotions, concessions and public procurement contracts) and the defence and optimisation of their immaterial assets.

Position

Thierry Titone advises corporate clients on the organization of their activities, from procurement to the release for consumption of products and services.
He specializes in relations between the industrial and distribution sectors and in the development of networks in France and abroad (e-commerce, franchise, selective network, etc.). He handles as well anticompetitive cases (advice, compliance and litigation), restrictive competition practices, and merger control in support of M&A teams.
He has written numerous articles and recently co-authored a book on risk management, standards and product compliance. He is also a lecturer, notably for the DJCE – Diplôme de Juriste Conseil d’Entreprise, Certificate of Specialization in Distribution Law at the Centre du Droit de l’Entreprise in Montpellier.

Career

Before becoming an attorney, he was a legal expert for the Elf (Total) Group for 9 years.

De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés takes a cross-practice approach to competition work; matters are handled by specialists in IP/IT, pharmaceuticals, trademarks and public law, with Thierry Titone and Matthieu Dary overseeing the majority of work. The practice covers investigations by the FCA and other authorities, as well as merger control for transactions, distribution issues, state aid and day-to-day competition advice. Clients come from a range of sectors, including retail, media, health and energy.

De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés has a strong roster of corporate and financial services clients. The firm notably assists with the establishment and review of Sapin II anti-corruption and whistleblowing procedures. The practice has also been in demand recently for advice on EU and US sanctions in relation to Russia, as well as advising several clients on Russian sanctions imposed on EU companies. The practice also assists clients with the conduct of internal investigations and also has strong data privacy compliance expertise. The team recently strengthened its expertise in the financial regulatory and anti-money laundering compliance fields through the partner promotion of Albane Lancrenon and the hirings in 2022 of Anne Maréchal, who joined from the AMF, and banking expert Cyril Tour from Baker McKenzie. Matthieu DaryPierrick Le Goff , Thierry Titone and François Zochetto co-head the compliance practice. Aurélien Chardeau also contributes, notably on the anti-money laundering side.
