Dmitry has over 8 years of hands-on experience of dealing with employment and migration law. Dmitry provides advice to the clients on a wide range of issues of employment and migration law. He has extensive experience in resolving all categories of employment disputes both in court and out-of-court, and he is a qualified professional mediator. 

He advises clients on various issues relating to the legal protection of information, including issues concerning legislation on personal data, commercial secrecy, banking secrecy and others. Dmitry’s experience includes, among other things, conducting internal audits regarding compliance with the legislation on personal data, developing all necessary internal regulations and other documents on data protection, and developing organisational measures for data protection.

His main achievements

Dmitry’s professional background includes defending clients in more than 300 cases for high-level Russian and foreign companies.

Projects include:

  • provided full legal support for redundancy procedures and subsequently successfully defended a number of Russian and international companies in disputes in which redundant employees sought reinstatement;
  • successfully defended clients before courts with regard to employment disputes in more than 8 regions across Russia;
  • successfully supported an audit conducted by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (known by the Russian abbreviation Roskomnadzor) with respect to one of the largest global beverage producers on the disclosure of an employee’s personal data.

The employment and migration practice at Pepeliaev Group is split into two teams, one headed up by Julia Borozdna, and one under the leadership of Anna Berlina. Borozdna has over 20 years’ experience advising multinational and notable domestic companies on the full range of non-contentious labour law matters, and also frequently handles litigious work. Berlina is particularly known for assisting with employee dismissals, including on a large scale, and representing clients in their dealings with the State Labour Inspectorate and the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
