Boris ŠavorićŠavorić & Partners

The ‘goal-oriented and supportive’ team at Šavorić & Partners provides a ‘responsive and commercial’ service to banks and borrowers seeking or providing finance to facilitate a broad array of activity, including for general working capital needs, M&A and real estate purposes. The ‘responsive’ Mia Lazić heads the team and is noted for her ‘first-class’ advice in both a transactional and a regulatory context. Other key members of the team include vastly experienced name partner Boris Šavorić, whose expertise includes advice on corporate and project finance transactions, and the ‘solutions-oriented’ Lovro Gašparac.

Croatia > EU and competition

Leveraging its market-leading M&A practice, Šavorić & Partners‘ competition team is perhaps best-known for its merger clearance capabilities. Nevertheless, under the guidance of Boris Šavorić and Mia Lazić, the scope of work handled by the team is by no means limited to transactional matters and also includes compliance work and advising clients in cartel investigations before the Croatian Competition Agency.

Croatia > Intellectual property

Šavorić & Partners is well-versed in advising on standalone IP matters, including trade mark and copyright-related issues, as well as in the context of due diligence on M&A in IP rich industries. Headed by Boris Šavorić, the team also includes senior associate Boris Babić, who has considerable experience handling IP litigation.

Croatia > Dispute resolution

Šavorić & Partners displays a ‘high level of expertise’ across a wide range of litigation and arbitration, including those relating to high-stakes corporate and financial disputes. Other strengths include assisting clients on the enforcement of foreign judgments, as well as utilising dispute resolution skills from a risk management perspective. Branko Bulat is ‘very professional’ and is regularly at the forefront of the firm’s most complex civil and commercial litigation cases, including in relation to real estate disputes. Boris Šavorić and Lovro Gašparac co-head the team alongside Bulat.

Boris ŠavorićŠavorić & Partners

The ‘very professional and business-oriented’ team at Šavorić & Partners is well-positioned to advise domestic and international corporates across a broad swathe of corporate and commercial requirements, both from a transactional perspective as well as in the context of ongoing operational concerns in the country. Although the firm is industry agnostic, it has developed a strong reputation within the IT sector, particularly as a result of its involvement in work connected to Infobip – the team represented One Equity Partners in its $200m strategic investment in the company, making it the first Croatian unicorn. Benefiting from ‘wide industry knowledge’, managing partner Boris Šavorić is particularly well-positioned to represent multinational corporates and private equity funds on big-ticket mandates. Nina Radić Kuzik combines a ‘detailed knowledge of Croatian laws’ with a ‘practical and commercially oriented approach’, enabling her to effectively handle transactional, commercial and regulatory issues, including as they relate to the real estate and energy sectors. Lovro Gašparac rounds out the team at a partner level.
