Morten Schwartz Nielsen is a litigation attorney and specialises in commercial disputes before all court instances and arbitration tribunals. As an area of expertise, Morten handles complex litigation and arbitration disputes by successfully setting out the case strategy, assessing the likelihood of a successful outcome, and maintaining control of the case as it progresses. His cases have included shareholder class-actions for recovery of losses and the defending of directors against liability claims.

Morten has been a deputy High Court Judge, where he gained particular insight into conducting litigation efficiently.

As an acknowledged expert within finance law, particularly in leasing, he has published several articles and books on the subject.

Morten also works with corporate law, securities law, M&A and as Member of Board of Directors.

Morten advice a large number of companies – especially within the financial sector and has extensive experience with cross-border cases.

Additionally, Morten serves on multiple boards and holds several positions of trust. In 2009, he received a grant in recognition of an extraordinary effort for the benefit of the legal profession.

Finally, Morten was acting on behalf of shareholders in the OW Bunker lawsuit against one of the World’s largest Marine Fuel Traders in the global shipping and oil trading industry.
