Career

Morten Schwartz Nielsen is a litigation attorney and specialises in commercial disputes before all court instances and arbitration tribunals. As an acknowledged expert within finance law, particularly in leasing, he has written several articles and books on the subject. Morten also advises on corporate law, securities law, M&A, distribution agreements and carries out board assignments.

Morten specialises in complex litigation and arbitration disputes by successfully setting out the case strategy, assessing the likelihood of a successful outcome, and maintaining control of the case as it progresses. His cases have included shareholder class-actions for recovery of losses and the defending of directors against liability claims.

Morten has served as interim judge with the Eastern High Court, where he gained particular insight on how to conduct litigation in an efficient manner.

Morten assists a large number of companies – especially within the financial sector and has extensive experience with cross-border cases. Furthermore, Morten serves on a considerable number of boards of directors and in positions of trust. In 2009, he received a grant in recognition of an extraordinary effort for the benefit of the legal profession.
