Maria Rosaria joined Pavia e Ansaldo in 2016

 Maria Rosaria advises large Italian and foreign companies, providing assistance both in contentious and non-contentious matters in various areas of antitrust and regulatory law. Joined the Firm in 2016, with partner Filippo Fioretti from an international law firm.

Maria Rosaria has been an antitrust specialist since the start of her career.

She has represented major domestic and international companies in antitrust proceedings before the Italian Competition Authority (ICA), the EU Commission and national courts.

She also regularly advises on consumer protection matters and merger control matters having obtained numerous clearances from the ICA.

She has strongly developed her knowledge and practice in the Golden Power (i.e. foreign direct investment control) field, following in first person several proceeding at both national and EU level involving acquisitions of strategic national assets by national, EU and extra-EU purchasers.

She is a Ph.D. in Law and Economics (University of Siena, 2016), regularly publishes on antitrust matters: she has published a book with the Oxford University in 2020 on the antitrust regulation of vertical agreements Maria Rosaria was awarded for the Best Antitrust Defence 2017 (Corporate M&A Awards) by Legalcommunity together with Filippo Fioretti for the defence of Mercury Spa in the context of the antitrust investigation on the alleged cartel in the long-term car rental services market, and was finalist of the FortyUnder40 award 2022 edition.

Since 2022, Maria Rosaria is a member of the Executive Faculty of the Executive EMBA held in Rome by POLIMI Graduate School of Management and John Cabot University.
