Career

Charlie Sorensen is an English Barrister and Jersey Advocate.  He is a Senior Associate at Baker & Partners.

Charlie joined Baker & Partners in November 2011.  In 2015, he completed his English Pupillage with the firm which included a secondment at XXIV Old Buildings, a commercial chancery chambers in Lincoln’s Inn.

Charlie’s work covers a broad spectrum of civil and commercial litigation and arbitration, with a particular focus on financial services, fraud and asset recovery, and contractual disputes.  As a practising English Barrister and Jersey Advocate he regularly advises clients on cases which engage principles of both English and Jersey law.

Education

Charlie studied History as an undergraduate before completing his Law degree.  He also holds a Master of Philosophy from Cambridge University and a Masters of Law from City Law School in London.  In 2010 Charlie was awarded the Roger Cox Scholarship by Gray’s Inn.  The following year he won a scholarship to undertake a placement as an assistant to the General Counsel of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
