Position

For Jeroen, the close cooperation with clients and office colleagues is the best part of the profession and the best way to achieve the best possible outcome. In disputes, this is often a settlement. If, for whatever reason, that’s unattainable, Jeroen will go the extra mile for the clients he represents as well as for the joint creditors in the bankruptcies in which he acts as trustee.

Jeroen was involved as a trustee in the bankruptcies of companies including Componenta, Scheuten Solar Systems, The Zenith and Burger King (Venlo). He specialises in company law and insolvency law, with an emphasis on financing, restructuring and liability issues (including directors’ liability). He also has extensive knowledge of the legal issues in the food and agri sector. In addition to his advisory practice geared to shareholders and companies, Jeroen has extensive experience as a litigator.

In 2003, Jeroen completed the Grotius specialisation programme in Insolvency Law and a few years later the specialisation programme in Financial Economics at Erasmus University. He is a member of INSOLAD, the Dutch professional association for insolvency lawyers. As president of Hockeyclub Delta Venlo, the largest sports club in Limburg, he is passionate about its members and hockey in general. Jeroen is a partner at Boels Zanders.
