Tony Greenman Law Offices has represented the prevailing party in many precedent setting court case. It represented the Israeli Film and TV directors in two precedential cases, recognizing for the first time in Israel that Film and TV directors are authors and copyright holders. Additionally, it defended the Israel Sports Betting Authority in a suit brought by the English Premier League and other British leagues in which the standard for originality in copyright was set by the Supreme Court. In another case, the firm succesfully persuaded the court that a historic assignment of publishing rights in the famous children’s book, Hanna’s Sabbath Dress, did not cover the electronic publishing rights, which therefore belonged to the heirs of the author, Itzhak Schweiger Demi’el.
The firm handles a large trademark portfolio, conducting searches and handling registrations, maintenance, oppositions and other contentious matters. The firm provides services to holders of international registrations and applications that encounter refusals from the Israeli Trademark Authority.
