Sefakor Kuenyehia is part of the team of lawyers at Kimathi & Partners.  Sefakor has advised on transactions in excess of hundreds of millions of United States Dollars in the areas of banking, finance, energy, mining, petroleum, natural resources, transportation, insolvency, real estate and construction.  Some of Sefakor’s recent transactions include: part of the team advising Golar LNG on its project to provide Floating Storage and Regasification Unit ("FSRU") services to support its Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) import project in Ghana. The transaction marks Sub Saharan Africa's first FSRU project; part of the team advising Asanko Gold Inc. on a US$320 million transaction which was used to finance the construction and the development of the Asanko Gold Project in Ghana; a member of the team which advised African Finance Corporation, ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development and Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited on the US$100 million loan transaction to the Volta River Authority to complete the construction and development of a thermal power project; and legal and regulatory due diligence on a lot of companies and individuals in Ghana.


Sefakor works closely with Government Agencies such as the Parliament of Ghana, Bank of Ghana, Minerals Commission, Petroleum Commission, Energy Commission, Lands Commission, Ghana Police Service and the Local Government Authorities. Sefakor is also one of the lawyers assigned to advise the Embassies of Germany and Denmark in Accra, Ghana.  In September, 2016, Sefakor was appointed by the Young Lawyers Committee of the International Bar Association to train young lawyers from all over the world in Mergers and Acquisitions at the 2016 Annual Conference of the International Bar Association in Washington DC, USA.  The Legal 500 Europe, Middle East & Africa 2015 edition recommended Sefakor as an excellent lawyer.

Kimathi Kuenyehia and associate Akua Serwaa Asomani-Adem¬†recently provided advice to Danske Bank on the ‚ā¨62m financing to the government of Ghana for the construction of seven bridges.
