Barbora Simon Dunovská is the firm’s managing partner. She began her legal practice in 1993 at one of the first private law firms in Prague, where she worked as a partner from 1995, leading a team of lawyers specializing primarily in financial law and banking until 2009 when she founded DUNOVSKÁ & PARTNERS.

With over 30 years of experience in advocacy, Barbora has established herself as a leading expert in banking law and finance, corporate law, and M&A transactions. She has collaborated with key banking clients (such as ČSOB, a.s., HSBC Continental Europe, ČSOB Factoring, a.s.) for several decades, serving as legal counsel on a range of key cases covering a wide spectrum of banking business, including specific issues shaping today’s financial environment. Projects have included transactions related to financing (acquisition, operational, structured, factoring), as well as the preparation of model and tailor-made contractual documentation.

Barbora has extensive experience in M&A transactions and corporate restructuring, combining financial and transactional expertise in acquisition financing. Her deep understanding of both business and legal challenges enables clients to overcome legal obstacles and achieve strategic objectives.

Additionally, Barbora was a successful entrepreneur, having owned and managed a business in import and distribution for nearly 20 years. Her entrepreneurial experience thus contributes to a deeper understanding of a client’s needs and enables her to navigate more effectively the business and legal challenges which her clients face more effectively.

Since 2012, Barbora has been consistently recognized by the reference guide The Legal 500 as a recommended lawyer in the fields of Banking, Finance, and Capital Markets.

Barbora is ranked among the top twenty elite female attorneys in the “All-Star“ group in the overview of TOP 100 exceptional Czech female business lawyers, which is presented by the #PRVNÍCH100LET (Women in Law), project in cooperation with Týdeník EURO.

She is also ranked among the 131 inspiring women in finance in the project #FinŽeny.

Barbora is the Vice Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Safety line (provider of councelling for children and young people in difficult situations), to which the firm has been providing pro bono legal services for over 15 years.
