Richard Lock is an English lawyer (also registered as a Hungarian lawyer, “ügyvéd”, at the Budapest Bar), with extensive experience of European and Hungarian cross-border investment transactions and of the corporate law matters that dominate our practice. A resident of Hungary for nearly 30 years, Richard leads the firm’s relationship with international law firms. Richard is ranked as “Eminent Practitioner” in Chambers Europe and Chambers Global. Richard trained at Burges Salmon in Bristol and worked for 5 years with Clifford Chance in London before moving to Budapest with Clifford Chance. Richard was a partner of Clifford Chance in 2006-2009 and a founding partner of LKT when the firm separated from Clifford Chance in 2009.
