Position

Michael Bollen, senior partner, leads Laurius’ real estate team from Brussels. He has been assisting clients in real estate transactions since 1996 and is a recognized trusted advisor, with in depth market knowledge, focusing on transactional real estate (corporate real estate). Michael has specific experience in transfers and structuring of real estate and real estate companies, property rights, joint ventures, leases and VAT leases, real estate financing and dispute settlement and litigation. He advises institutional and private investors, regulated real estate investment companies (REITs), real estate funds and developers in logistics buildings, retail property, student housing, healthcare real estate, offices, hotels and residential real estate. He also advises real estate end-users in the context of their real estate requirements, such as in terms of office and retail leases, divestments, sale & lease backs and relocations.

Career

Michael Bollen joined Laurius as a senior partner in July 2018. He worked as a lawyer at Bertouille & Partners from 1996 to 2000 and at Caestecker & Partners/DLA Piper from 2000 to 2018. From 2008 on he has been a partner in the real estate department of DLA Piper. Michael was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 1996.
