Career

Jean-Nicolas has been practicing M&A for the past 20 years. He specializes in public and private Mergers & Acquisitions and Joint Ventures, with a particular focus on private cross-border M&A transactions. His expertise includes acquisitions and sales of companies and groups, strategic partnerships and joint venture agreements, takeover bids, divestment of non-core assets, group and shareholder structure reorganizations, as well as corporate governance. Jean-Nicolas Soret has a specific focus in the high tech, agriculture, renewable energy and biotech industries. He is an active member of the International Bar Association and the French Institute of Directors (Institut Français des Administrateurs). Jean-Nicolas Soret regularly publishes articles in The American Lawyer magazine and focuses his editorial activity on M&A techniques and Foreign Direct Investment. Before joining ADVANT Altana as a partner in 2010, Jean-Nicolas was a partner at REED SMITH LLP. Jean-Nicolas Soret is member of ADVANT Altana’s international board.
