Career

Frédéric Manin, a member of the Paris bar since 1996, joined ADVANT Altana as a partner in 2017. Mr. Manin specializes in EU and French Competition/Anti-trust law for large French and foreign companies in the insurance, automotive, services (IT, financial), energy, healthcare, defense and distribution sectors.

He represented Air France in the 10-year cartel proceedings against major oil companies. He worked alongside new entrants in the context of the opening of the French online gaming market through EU and French proceedings.

Since 2011, he has overseen more than 15 merger filings in the insurance industry, which has established him as an expert in that sector. In 2013, He participated in Phase II proceedings up to the French highest administrative Court) for Imerys.

Mr. Manin has been designated an Expert within the ICN (International Competition Network) in the « Cartels » and « Mergers » Committees and has been distinguished by Best Lawyers, Décideurs and Legal 500 since 2020 in Competition / Antitrust Law and Litigation. He regularly contributes to the issuance of opinions and memorandums by the Cercle Montesquieu, a legal think-tank.  He was a Senior University Lecturer during 15 years.
