Claudia Weber is an expert in the fields of information technologies and intellectual property, on which she has over 25 years of experience.

Claudia Weber provides advice, litigation and training to SMEs and start-ups, as well as international groups and large French companies. (e. g. an international leader in the production of ATM machines, a European leader of civil engineering, a major player in energy and transport infrastructures, a major actor in the global hospitality industry, and international luxury group…)

Claudia is known for her legal management of complex IT projects and her technical expertise.

Claudia coordinates and supervises the files handled within the firm. She ensures the legal management of global IT projects, contractual architectures, preparation and writing of calls for tenders, contracts design and drafting, as well as implementation and management of pre-litigation strategies. Plus, online platform’s audit and compliance, e-business websites and consumer law can be added to the list.

Furthermore, as a frequent speaker, Claudia Weber holds many conferences, debates, seminars and training courses in her major subjects: information technology and intellectual property (for professional representation bodies, training organizations, and juridical events).

Her specialized writings are published in Village de la Justice, Le Journal du management juridique and Le Monde du droit. In addition, she has published several writings for the Dalloz editions.

Career

Prior to founding and managing ITLAW Avocats since 2005, Claudia Weber worked from 1994 to 2002 in two law firms specialised in IT law that were Alain Bensoussan and Bird & Bird. She then joined Eversheds, where she created the Information Technology Department.

ITLAW Avocats covers all aspects of the IT sector, including competition and antitrust, contract law, intellectual property, media law and consumer protection. The team was significant bolstered by the arrival of new head of the data protection sub-group Odile Jami-Caston from the Ministry of Justice and the addition of intellectual property and media team head Jean-Christophe Ienné. The department is led by Claudia Weber, who recently assisted clients with the negotiation of SaaS contracts alongside associate Marine Hardy. In other highlights, the group reviewed a number of contracts with regard to GDPR compliance requirements, and acted for two major car manufacturers on the implementation of three digital platforms.
