Odile Jami-Caston is an legal expert of data protection, she has acquired a breadth of experience as a lawyer in service of the French National data protection authority. Odile has specifically developed an specific expertise in the retails sector, marketing and commercial prospection, real estate and social landlords.

Odile’s interventions are mainly oriented towards advising and supporting data controllers and data processors, from any sector, in bringing their personal data processing into compliance.

Odile experiences with private companies and public bodies make her able to propose pertinent analysis and recommend solutions that lead to the effective realization of various client projects.

She trains and assists data protection offices to carry their actions within their entity or the national supervisory authority.

Odile also conducts training courses for companies or professional organizations, on any topic concerned by GDPR compliance (data transfer abroad, could contracts, etc.).

Odile animates a working group in the field of data protection.


Before joining ITLAW Avocats in 2018, Odile Jami-Caston worked 20 years in service of the French national data protection authority (CNIL) and 3 years as a Data Protection lawyer for the ministry of Justice, where she participated in particular to the standard procedure before the Council of State, concerning the sensitive data processing.

The team was significant bolstered by the arrival of new head of the data protection sub-group Odile Jami-Caston from the Ministry of Justice and the addition of intellectual property and media team head Jean-Christophe Ienné. The department is led by Claudia Weber, who recently assisted clients with the negotiation of SaaS contracts alongside associate Marine Hardy. In other highlights, the group reviewed a number of contracts with regard to GDPR compliance requirements, and acted for two major car manufacturers on the implementation of three digital platforms.
