Thomas Rocco is proficient on drafting and negotiating international IT contracts (software licensing agreements, distribution agreements, IT services agreement, outsourcing contracts) and has extensive experience of IT/IP litigation (notice and takedown procedures, copyright litigation, privacy and e-reputation cases). He is also experienced in personal data protection and acted as Group DPO for a SBF120 entity during a secondment.
His market practice involves innovative sectors such as online gambling, online advertising, MOOC, recharging stations for electrical vehicles, server infrastructures, predictive IA or medical devices.
After a Master in IT law at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Master in IP law at Sciences-Po Paris, Thomas Rocco graduated from the Paris Bar School in June 2014 and took oath as a French Paris-qualified lawyer on January 2015. He worked at the French American Randy Yaloz Law Firm, which is part of ELC Group, until January 2017, when he joined Staub & Associés. In May 2019, he left Staub & Associés to become a Senior Associate at Harlay Avocats. Thomas Rocco joined ITLAW Avocats in 2021.
