Career

Sherif is a senior associate based in Bahrain and has been with the firm since 2016. Prior to joining ASAR, Sherif practiced in Egypt for 12 years. Sherif has extensive experience in corporate, commercial and employment law matters including the representation of local and foreign clients in doing business in Bahrain, establishment of Bahraini companies, mergers and acquisitions, franchise, agency/distributorship, employment and related matters.

Professional Experience

Arla Foods Acquisition: Sherif was an instrumental member in ASAR’s team in Arla’s acquisition of Mondelez Bahrain WLL, conducting due diligence and establishing Arla’s legal presence in Bahrain. He also provided legal support for the expansion of Arla’s cheese factory.

Americana Reorganization: Sherif assisted Americana with reorganization, conducting due diligence on Bahraini entities and facilitating share transfers to an Americana group affiliate.

ACWA Power Project: Sherif supported ACWA in establishing the project entity for the Askar Solar Power Project, providing corporate and environmental advice in line with Bahraini law.

Company Formation: Sherif oversees the formation of companies across various sectors, including consulting, dredging, import/trade, server farms, and electricity generation. He possesses extensive knowledge of ministerial processes associated with company formation and licensing.
