Career

Prior to his law career, Wolfgang underwent commercial training in Paris, France, at the Hüppe Sarl Paris company and worked for the R & R Publishing House in Leimen, Germany, assisting in the acquisition of sponsors for TV film productions.

During his studies, he undertook training at the Walter & Partners Law Firm in Heidelberg and the Pracht, Miegl & Mikorey Law Firm in Munich.

In 2000, he performed legal, administrative, and linguistic work at iSt-Sprachreisen in Heidelberg.

After moving to Greece in 2001, he worked for Dimitris Oikonomidis & Partners Law Firm until 2004, handling various civil law matters, relating to corporate disputes and money debt claims, mostly for German clients. During 2001, he also performed legal and administrative work at the Greek Vacation Club Ltd., in Athens.

Wolfgang started his cooperation with Avramopoulos & Partners in 2005 and focuses on most aspects of energy law, including project development, drafting and implementation of energy contracts as well as obtaining licensing and permits for developing various projects. He advises a diverse array of reputable German and Greek companies in the energy sector.

In addition, Wolfgang provides professional assistance with any issue related to Inheritance Law. His services include assisting individuals who live abroad and need to claim their Greek inheritance within the territory of Greece, as well as assisting with the registration of their property in Greece.

Recent Experience:    

  • Provision of legal advice to a leading German company involved in the energy sector on project development issues, including compliance with the European legislative framework.
  • Provision of legal advice to a Norwegian enterprise on the licensing, design and development of a fully-fledged solar energy production plant in Greece. Implementation of the establishment procedure of its Greek subsidiaries which have as their core business purpose the production and distribution of solar energy in Greece.
  • Provision of legal services to a major German company, leader in the field of the renewable generation sector, on the acquisition of a Greek company; the project involved a detailed due diligence on regulatory, licensing, contractual, corporate and financing aspects.
  • Drafting of EPC and Construction agreements on a regular basis, according to the specific needs of each client.

Education

Wolfgang studied law in Germany, at the University of Heidelberg and the University of Cologne. He obtained the degree of Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of Hull, UK, in 1996. In his doctorate work, Wolfgang was concerned with the Constitutional Implications of the Economic and Monetary Union on the Member States and the EU.
