Career

Michael-C. Poulakos is one of the founding partners of Avramopoulos & Partners Law Firm and is currently heading up the Firm’s Labour and Litigation Departments. He has extensive experience across the entire labour and employment law spectrum, including litigation and labour dispute resolution. He has advised many Greek and multinational companies on various labour and employment law matters such as employment contracts, termination and post termination matters, structuring employment and benefit arrangements, negotiating and developing employee regulations and handbooks, occupational health and safety matters, collective bargaining agreements and negotiations with trade unions, social security issues, and assignment/secondment agreements. He also handles cases involving disputes, agency and distributorship agreements, breach of contract, fraud, creditor’s rights on bankruptcy, banking and commercial torts.  

Prior to becoming a partner at Avramopoulos & Partners Law Firm, he was a partner at another Athens-based law firm. In 1993, he worked as Special Counsel to the Deputy Minister of Welfare and Social Security and contributed to the drafting of a legislative scheme for this Ministry entitled, “Measures for the Treatment/Resolution of the Nations’ Demographic Problem.”
