Nelson Raposo Bernardo is the global managing partner of Raposo Bernardo.

Advises national and multinational leading players in operations concerning debt, equity, structured finance and securitisation, M&A, project finance, private equity, restructuring and regulation, with a very impressive experience, including privatisations, and on several types of operations in the area of project finance, having represented promoters and financing banks (national and international).

He regularly advises on transactional work in the sectors of banking, infrastructure, pharmaceutical, tourism, logistics, Oil & Gas and energy – representing both lenders and sponsors in energy production projects (windfarms, hydros and photovoltaics).

Assists companies in setting-up privacy and (data protection), “compliance” policies, programs, practices and solutions for personal data protection and GDPR conformity.

Also strongly experienced and reputed in legislating, being co-author of the present Portuguese Securities Code and has led several legislative reform committees, in several countries, in banking, financial, real estate and construction areas. Has published books and articles on corporate law, banking and contract law, and participated as a speaker in seminars and conferences in Portugal and abroad. Consultant for Capital Markets of the Portuguese Auditors Association (1998-2006).
