Dispute Resolution & Risk Management

Position

I am a senior associate with the firm‘s Dispute Resolution team, specialising in public procurement and public projects. Representing both public sector institutions and private business entities, I work on complex projects in sectors such as information technology, healthcare and infrastructure.

Career

Integrated approach to public procurement. I have extensive experience in organising and conducting strategic procurement procedures as well as helping suppliers to participate successfully in all stages of procurement, including contract implementation. Experience in representing both sides allows me to anticipate procedural steps and offer complex solutions that best suit a particular client’s situation.

Legal project management. I provide long-term legal project management services, which include managing project information, deadlines and stakeholder involvement and representing other client’s interests throughout the project. Professional legal project management allows the project risks to be anticipated in advance and allows for better planning of project’s intermediate results and their scope.

Lithuania > Projects and energy

Sorainen‘s energy and infrastructure team is well known for handling high-profile M&A deals, PPPs, transactions and financing matters within the renewable energy space. On the energy side of the practice, onshore wind projects are a key area of instruction, while on the infrastructure side, the group has been kept busy advising on prominent, design-related construction and rail development projects. Cross-border matters are another key driver of work for the team, which has a solid track record in assisting European and other international investors with entering into the Lithuanian energy market. Corporate and energy lawyer Sergej Butov and real estate, construction and environmental law expert Asta Augutytė-Rapkevičienė co-head the practice. Counsel Andrius Šimkus brings expertise in energy law, while Paulius Murauskas handles public procurement projects.
