Monika is among the leading competition law experts in Lithuania, heading the office’s Competition & Regulatory team. She also covers advertising and consumer-related questions, manages compliance projects, and participates in TMT and IP cases. During her career, she has participated in landmark antitrust cases and merger deals.

She is a member of the Competition Law Committee at the Lithuanian Bar. She often speaks at events and contributes to various international competition-related newsletters and publications. At Sorainen, she is known for being a great mentor who actively develops talents.

Major projects. During her professional career, Monika has had the opportunity to participate in landmark antitrust cases and merger deals in Lithuania, such as the Maxima – Mantinga agreement case, the Forum Cinemas cartel case, the construction companies PST and IRDAIVA cartel case, and she has also worked on major transaction projects such as the anticipated Palink – Rimi merger, the Bitė and MTG concentration, and the Mineraliniai vandenys and Alita transaction.

Sector understanding. With a specialisation in promoting familiarity with diverse industries and business processes, Monika’s primary areas of interest are retail as well as the technology, media and telecommunication sectors.

Training businesses. Monika enjoys training other people. She regularly organises training for businesses and creates compliance programmes to improve understanding of the importance of competition law in everyday business operations and create added value for our clients.

Building a stronger team. Monika values the opportunity to share professional and organizational know-how and mentor team’s new colleagues, since a strong and reliable team is the key to success.

Business orientation. In order to deeply understand how certain industries work and businesses operate, Monika is studying at ISM University of Management and Economics.
