Career

As a partner in the firm’s Tax practice group, I have extensive professional experience in tax advisory and finance since 1996. I have also worked at the Big4 professional service firms and was head of tax at a major Latvian commercial bank.

Expert in Taxation. I provide Latvian and international tax advice to major local and multinational companies, for example on tax aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions as well as tax risk management and tax planning.

Tax rulings. One area of my expertise is negotiating with state authorities to defend the tax positions of our clients and provide assistance in obtaining tax rulings.

Transfer pricing. I also advise clients on transfer pricing aspects, and have experience in preparing transfer pricing policies and documentation.

Tax legislation. Besides involvement in developing the Latvian tax system and initiating new taxation provisions, I have given presentations on taxation at seminars in Latvia.
