Career
As an associate with the firm’s Dispute Resolution and Risk Management practice in Latvia, Elvis specializes in cross-border disputes, international and local arbitration proceedings, as well as recognition and enforcement of foreign court decisions and arbitral awards in Latvia.
International trade. He has regularly participated in teams providing legal assistance in international trade. His expert knowledge covers dispute resolution in the area of international contracts for the sale of goods.
Foreign investment protection. He assisted our client E Energia in obtaining a favorable award against the Republic of Latvia at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). These were the very first ICSID annulment proceedings that involved the State of Latvia.
Likewise, he has participated in legal research and the provision of opinions on the protection of foreign investors.
