Career

As a sworn attorney at law specialising in M&A, corporate law and transactions in general, Jānis Bite
believes in making deals instead of killing them, as well as working along with his clients to generate value instead of cost.

Expert in transactions and negotiations. Jānis has represented clients from a wide range of industries, having various backgrounds and operating during various economic cycles, each of which comes with its own challenges. His experience includes some of the largest and strategically most significant transactions in Latvia and the Baltics within key industries.

Shareholder relations. Well balanced commercial and legal incentives are key for setting up a smoothly running joint venture that can withstand the varying business cycles. Jānis regularly advise clients on structuring businesses, shareholder relations and disputes.

Start-ups and know-how sharing. Jānis believes that entrepreneurship lies at the heart of a healthy capitalist economy. As a member of the management board of the Latvian Startup Association he contribute expertise in business law to build and develop the local start-up ecosystem, seeking to improve regulations and governmental practices.
